Connecting a node to a cloud solution provider can be done using Bluetooth® Low Energy technology through a gateway – possibly a smartphone or tablet – connected to an appropriate long-range wireless network enabling a range of IoT applications including remote sensing, actuation and device management.
Our hardware and software solutions includes pre-integrated examples on how to send and receive messages and handle firmware and configuration updates as well as companion mobile apps. They also provide support for several of the cloud providers' – including Azure, Watson or AWS - software design kits (SDKs) and can help build Bluetooth Low Energy based networks.
ST has developed a custom Bluetooth® Low Energy profile able to handle all communications from node to gateway. Fully leveraging standard protocols and SDKs, our development resources help establish a secure connection from gateway to cloud.
