Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment are extremely complex systems where superconductive coils, which generate intense magnetic fields, and a highly accurate, high-power radio frequency system are used to excite the natural resonance frequency of hydrogen atoms and obtain images of a person's tissues and organs.
In addition to its main core, the machine has to accommodate the patient and provide all the means for medical staff to properly command and control the equipment.
ST offers high-frequency and very-high-frequency (HF/VHF) DMOS transistors in STAC® air-cavity packages for RF amplifiers as well as STM32 microcontrollers, integrated motor control ICs and power management solutions.
